A.  as Complementary Therapy for Malignancy (Tumor/Cancer)

Tumor/cancer is a dangerous disease due to its ability to spread quickly to many organs. The disease is characterized by an abnormal growth of new blood vessels (angiogenesis). Tumor/cancer cells have the ability to secrete tumor angiogenesis factor (TAF) which triggers the formation of new blood vessels supplying nutrition for tumor/cancer cells.  is able to inhibit the formation of new blood vessels and metastases, which is the spread of tumor/cancer cells to other organs.

B. Rheumatoid Arthritis and Osteoarthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis is an immune system disorder that attacks the body's tissues, specifically targeting joints. Osteoarthritis is an inflammatory disease that affects the cartilage. Both rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis can be caused by the growth of new blood vessels in the joint cartilage causing calcification of the cartilage accompanied by pain in the inflamed part.

Diabetic retinopathy, one of complications of Diabetes Mellitus type 1 and 2, causes blockage of blood vessels in the retina of the eye. Blockage of these blood vessels can trigger the formation of new blood vessels in order to provide adequate blood supply to the retina. This results in impaired vision and, if left untreated, can lead to blindness.
